Thank You for Your Support in 2025/26 and Looking Ahead to 2026/27
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we begin a new school year, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the achievements of the Wilson’s Parents’ and Friends’ Association (PFA) during the 2025/26 academic year and, most importantly, to thank everyone who supported us along the way.
Whether you attended an event, volunteered your time, bought a cake, donated a prize, secured matched funding through your employer, or simply helped spread the word, you have played a part in supporting the Wilson’s community. The enthusiasm and generosity of parents, carers, students and friends of the school continue to make a real difference, and we are incredibly grateful for your support.
A Successful Year of Fundraising and Community Activities
Over the course of the year, the PFA organised and supported a range of fundraising and community events, including:
- Familiarisation Test – £56,300
- Corporate Donations & Matched Funding – £15,800
- Cake Sale – £7,000
- Biannual Badminton Tournament – £2,300
These, together with our other fundraising activities, raised an impressive £80,000 during the year.
Alongside fundraising, the PFA also supports a number of activities that help bring our school community together and enhance the student experience, including providing ice creams at Sports Day and hosting the Year 13 Leavers’ Buffet.
Supporting Wilson’s Students
The funds raised by the PFA help provide opportunities and resources that enhance school life for all Wilson’s students. Over the years, PFA funding has contributed towards a variety of projects and initiatives, including:
- Interactive Smart Boards
- School Minibus
These investments help ensure that students continue to benefit from excellent facilities, equipment and opportunities beyond those provided through the school’s core budget.

We would like to extend a special thank you to our committee members, event organisers and volunteers, whose dedication, energy and commitment make all of this possible. We are also grateful to everyone who has attended events, donated prizes, offered sponsorship, secured matched funding through their employer, or supported our fundraising efforts in any way. Every contribution, no matter how large or small, is genuinely appreciated.
Could You Help This Year?
As we look ahead to 2026/27, we are keen to welcome new parents and carers to become involved with the PFA.
You do not need previous experience or lots of spare time. Whether you can help occasionally at an event, share a particular skill, assist behind the scenes, or take on a more active role, every contribution helps us continue to support the school and its students.
In particular, we are looking for three to four parents or carers to join the PFA committee and lead some of our key fundraising and community events. These roles are a fantastic way to meet other parents, become more involved in school life and make a meaningful contribution to the Wilson’s community. You will not be on your own, as existing committee members will provide guidance and support every step of the way.
